Deposit

To protect the rights of both buyers and sellers and ensure the legitimacy of each auction, newly registered members must pay a deposit of NTD 10,000.

If you do not win the bid, the deposit will be refunded to your designated account within three days of the auction's conclusion. If you win a pigeon, the deposit will be used to offset the purchase price, and any remaining amount will be refunded or collected. If you win a bid but fail to complete the payment, your deposit will be forfeited in full.

Bidding and offers

Please log into your account and select the pigeon you want to bid on. There are two ways to place a bid: direct bidding and automatic bidding.

1. Direct bidding: Enter the amount directly, with a minimum bid increment of NTD 1,000. Once the auction price reaches NTD 100,000, the bid increment will be NTD 5,000, and for prices above NTD 500,000, the increment will be NTD 50,000.

2. Automatic bidding: When using automatic bidding, the system will automatically place the minimum increment based on other bidders' offers, up to your maximum set bid.

Bidding rules

If a bid is placed within 5 minutes of the auction's scheduled end time, the system will automatically extend the auction by 5 minutes.

For example, if the first pigeon is set to close at 8:00, and a bid is placed near 8:00, the end time will automatically extend to 8:05. If another bid is placed, the end time will extend to 8:10, and so on.

Once the auction ends, please refresh the page to ensure you’ve won, as your device may display a cached version of the site.

Bank of Taiwan: NTD -> https://rate.bot.com.tw/xrt?Lang=zh-TW

2. Payment methods and fees

After the auction ends, you will receive a summary of the auction and payment methods via SMS. If you have any questions, please contact our support team immediately.

Shipping

After the auction is completed, there are two types of shipping: Mainland China and Taiwan. The fees are adjusted by the shipping company and should be based on the announcements of the European Pigeon Auction.

Only pigeons for which you have successfully paid can proceed with shipping arrangements based on your destination.

Please note: Pigeons are live animals, and there are certain risks of injury, illness, or death during transportation! Buyers should take care of injured or sick pigeons with love and patience.

The exact shipping time is determined by the shipping company in charge. Generally speaking, the expected shipping time is very close to the actual shipping time. However, unforeseen factors such as: hot summer weather from May to September, weather obstructions (such as heavy rain, typhoons, earthquakes, etc.), war/riots, avian flu, changes in the customs/quarantine/tax regulations of exporting or importing countries for live poultry, and other force majeure situations may cause longer shipping times. Buyers are kindly requested to understand and cooperate.

Import operations must comply with the import regulations of each importing country. Any relevant customs duties or other taxes incurred in the importing country must be fully borne by the buyer in the importing country. Shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer, with the amount based on the European Pigeon Auction announcements. If the auction pigeon is still in Europe:

1. Pigeons being shipped internationally from Europe to Taiwan require 21 days of quarantine in the exporting country, plus an additional 10 days of quarantine in Taiwan as per local regulations.

2. For shipments to China, international transport schedules are currently difficult to establish regularly, and since the pigeons require a month-long quarantine in both the exporting country and China, each batch may take at least 4 months or longer. Please be patient.

3. Any additional costs incurred due to shipping, such as packing, quarantine, or other transport-related fees, must be borne by the buyer.

If the auction pigeon is already in Taiwan:

1. Shipping within Taiwan is primarily by rail transport or through Air Force One and other services.

2. For China, international shipping times are currently difficult to schedule regularly. Please be patient. Additional costs for shipping from Taiwan to China will apply, with amounts based on European Pigeon Auction announcements.

The following situations are for reference only, and actual costs will be based on the latest announcements:

● Belgium to Taiwan

Belgium to Taiwan, the shipping fee per pigeon is based on the announcement.

Pigeons must undergo 21 days of quarantine in Belgium before being imported to Taiwan, where they will undergo 10 days of quarantine.

● Belgium to China

Belgium to China, the shipping fee per pigeon is based on the announcement.

Domestic shipping and taxes are an additional 24.3%.

If there are changes in shipping fees, a separate notice will be issued.

Pigeons must undergo a month of quarantine in Belgium, followed by a week of quarantine within China.

● Taiwan to China, the shipping fee per pigeon is based on the announcement.

All the above are to be paid by the winning bidder.

● Taiwan to Taiwan, the shipping costs are paid by the seller.

1. Rail Transport:

Based on the schedule at Taichung station, the train departs at 2 PM, heading east to Hualien and south to Nanzih.

Pigeons will arrive at each station along the route the next morning at 8:00 AM for pickup.

2. Express Shipping:

Pigeons will be delivered to designated stations via Air Force One or Chaofeng Express for self-pickup.

After-Sales Service

How can I share my feedback?

If you have any questions or comments about the purchasing process, please contact us.

How to handle sick or injured pigeons?

If you find severe illness or abnormality in the pigeon upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the pigeon.

If reported within the valid time but unfortunately deceased, and the complete undamaged original leg ring and original pedigree and ring card are sent back to the agent (or EU Pigeon Headquarters) => Please refer to other notes (such as regarding compensation, etc.).

Is the pigeon’s gender guaranteed?

Some of the young pigeons sold on this site have undergone DNA gender identification, and their gender is guaranteed to be accurate. Other young or adult pigeons (especially those not bred) are listed based on the indicated gender symbol but cannot be guaranteed 100%.

* Please note:Some young pigeons have not fully changed their eye color (especially those under three months old), and their eye color may change (e.g., from brown to yellow). We regret that we cannot accept complaints regarding eye color changes.

How to handle a deceased pigeon?

1. If the pigeon dies during quarantine, we will provide photographic evidence => Please refer to other notes (such as regarding compensation, etc.).

2. If the pigeon is found dead upon opening the cage after arrival, you must immediately provide relevant photos and notify the sales agent, and send the complete undamaged original leg ring, original pedigree, and ring card to the agent (or EU Pigeon Headquarters) within 24 hours of arrival => Please refer to other notes (such as regarding compensation, etc.).

How to handle an infertile pigeon?

The Belgian EU Pigeons adhere to strict selection procedures, and we avoid selling overly aged pigeons or those that have produced fewer offspring in recent years.

However, since pigeons are living beings and need time to adjust to new environments, we cannot guarantee that the pigeon will be fertile immediately after arriving or that it will be 100% fertile (especially for older breeding pigeons).

* Suspected Infertility (referring to a male pigeon being unable to fertilize the female, resulting in no eggs or poor-quality eggs, such as soft-shelled or abnormal eggs) must be reported in writing by mail, SMS, or email to the Belgian headquarters or the agent serving you within two months of receiving the pigeon (except for young pigeons or during molting), or after the first pairing. The maximum period for the buyer to test the pigeon’s breeding ability is three months (excluding young pigeons or during molting). If infertility is found, the pigeon must be sent to our designated third party for a two-month rebreeding trial (the duration may vary during molting). If infertility is confirmed by our designated third party after the rebreeding trial, the original pigeon will be returned to the buyer. The buyer must send back the original leg band, pedigree certificate, and leg band card in undamaged condition within three days of receiving the pigeon to the agent or the EU pigeon headquarters. Please refer to other important notes (such as compensation details).

Please note: Complimentary pigeons are provided as gifts, and we are not responsible for infertility. We appreciate your understanding!

Other important notes (such as compensation, etc.)

* All auctioned pigeons are provided directly by prestigious lofts or hobbyist collectors. We only offer auction services.

* If the auctioned pigeon is second-hand (the original breeder and provider are different people), the auction page will clearly indicate the names of the original breeder and provider.

* If the auctioned pigeon dies or is found to be infertile within the valid claim period after arrival, we will make every effort to fulfill our mediation responsibilities and obligations, representing the buyer (the winning bidder) in negotiating compensation with the supplying loft. However, we cannot guarantee equal compensation.

*Entire Loft Auction Pigeons (including entire loft adult pigeon auctions / pigeon owners only keeping some young pigeons)

- If the pigeon owner is deceased, no compensation can be provided.

- If the pigeon owner is still alive and continues breeding pigeons, compensation will be provided in the form of a young pigeon bred by the owner.

*Second-hand Auction Pigeons (the original breeder and provider are different people): Compensation will be provided in the form of a young pigeon bred by the provider.

*Other Auction Pigeons Provided Directly by the Original Breeder: Compensation will be provided in the form of a young pigeon bred by the original breeder.

*Older Pigeons and Complimentary Pigeons Included in Auctions: These pigeons are provided as gifts. If they are infertile or die after arrival, no compensation will be provided. We appreciate your understanding!

Please thoroughly read the auction rules before bidding! If compensation or complimentary pigeons are involved, the international shipping cost must be fully borne by the buyer (winning bidder).

* Pigeons are live animals and are not covered by standard cargo insurance.

* There are risks associated with the international transport of original European pigeons.

* In case of discrepancies, the original text will prevail over the Chinese translation.

* Pedigree certificates for auctioned EU pigeons are mostly uploaded directly as digital files provided by the lofts. Therefore, they may not contain the pigeon owner's signature, and no scanned copies of leg band cards are provided on the auction page. The original documents (or duplicates) will be provided separately.

* If original documents (such as the pedigree certificate or leg band card) are lost for any reason, duplicates issued by the ring authority (such as NPO in the Netherlands or KBDB in Belgium) will be used as the official replacement. Leg band cards may take longer to reissue due to the need for a loss announcement, typically taking over a month. Please understand. The format of reissued documents may differ from the original, but they are equally legally valid.

* Belgian (starting with BE), Dutch (starting with NL), and German (starting with DV) leg bands have leg band card certificates. Leg bands from other European countries may not have such certificates.

* Bidders who forfeit their bids will have their membership deposit fully confiscated, and their information will be added to the EU pigeon blacklist for defaulters.

* In case of network issues during the auction process, EU Pigeons reserves the right to suspend the auction and decide whether to re-auction or extend the bidding time.

* In photo production, the image flipping function of Photoshop is often used, causing a visual reversal of the leg band position (left and right legs swapped). The actual position of the leg band on the pigeon should be based on the physical pigeon, and the photos should not be used as a reference.

* Placing a bid is considered acceptance of the above terms without objection.

* All pigeon fanciers participating in the auction must read the auction rules in advance. By placing a bid, it is considered that you agree to these rules, and all related matters will be carried out in accordance with the auction rules.
